• Image of KHUSHI - "Magpie" clear 7" vinyl (MP3 CODE INSIDE)

London based musician KHUSHI first emerged onto the scene in late 2012, when he uploaded a series of homespun demos to Soundcloud. Almost immediately, their emotive, melancholic and uplifting stylings caught the attention of fans, bloggers and industry figures alike.

Aside from plentiful comparisons to people like The National, Bon Iver, Alt-J and fellow Londoner Sivu, KHUSHI has since been invited to share stages with the lauded likes of Milo Greene, Dan Croll, Story Books and San Cisco, and was also booked for Brighton's annual Great Escape Festival in May.

To date, KHUSHI's recordings have been played on Radio 1 (by Huw Stephens), XFM (John Kennedy) and Amazing Radio. One of these, "Magpie" - perhaps his hardest hitting, most engulfing number to date - has been re-recorded in 2013, giving it a renewed emphasis and vigour. The revised version is due for release on Laissez Faire Club on 7 October, and will be backed by B-side "Never Never".

Track listing:

A. Magpie (3:44)
